Culinary Journey at MULINO – Authentic Italian Restaurant in Peetri
Just outside Tallinn, in the small town of Peetri next to the Peetri Windmill, lies the new restaurant MULINO. It’s a place where Italian passion meets the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean, promising truly unforgettable culinary experiences.
The new restaurant welcomes guests with a warm and inviting atmosphere. As you step inside, you immediately feel that you’ve entered a place where food is not just a meal – it’s an experience.

The menu at MULINO is truly diverse, offering a wide range of options to satisfy every palate. Let’s start with their pizzas! The restaurant uses a real wood-fired pizza oven, ensuring every pizza arrives perfectly baked and deliciously crisp. The pasta selection is rich and made from fresh ingredients—each bite transports you straight to Italy, where traditional recipes are given a fresh and modern twist.
During the FoodLover Restaurants Week from October 4–13, they offer two special menus to enjoy.
3-course menu – €31:
Starters (choice of one):
Bruschetta – Sourdough with feta cream, fermented pumpkin, roasted beetroot, and walnuts
Escargots – French-style in garlic-herb butter
Mains (choice of one):
Grilled veal – Vitello tonnato sauce, padrón peppers, hashbrown potatoes
Dover sole – “Acqua Pazza” style with potatoes
Dessert:
Chocolate mousse – Chestnut caramel, cherry confit, and vanilla ice cream
Vegetarian menu – €17:
Bruschetta – Sourdough with feta cream, fermented pumpkin, roasted beetroot, and walnuts
Chocolate mousse – Chestnut caramel, cherry confit, and vanilla ice cream
I tried both starter options. First came the escargots – cooked in a rich garlic-herb butter, they were absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. Getting them out of their tiny shells with the special fork was a fun little challenge 😜.

The second starter option is the bruschetta – sweet, tangy, and surprisingly hearty. The mix of ingredients creates delightful layers of flavor, adding unexpected twists to every bite.

For the main course, I chose the sole – a fairly spicy and zesty dish with a variety of Mediterranean spices. Plenty of capers and olives – if you enjoy bold, flavorful dishes, I definitely recommend giving it a try! For extra info: the meat of sole is mild, slightly sweet, and buttery in flavor.

To finish off the meal, they offer a chocolate mousse – delightfully rich and chocolaty, perfectly complemented by the cherry jam. The airy mousse and vanilla ice cream are on a whole different level compared to what you’d get from a store 😋.

You definitely won’t leave MULINO restaurant hungry – the portions are generous and absolutely worth the price!
Reserve your table now and take advantage of the special offers during the FoodLover Restaurants Week, happening from October 4th to 13th.
Family-friendliness is a key part of MULINO’s charm:
The restaurant offers a dedicated kids’ menu with tasty and healthy options for little food lovers. Plus, there’s a play area where children can have fun while parents enjoy their meal in peace.
If you’re looking for delicious dining just outside Tallinn city center, I highly recommend visiting MULINO – a flavorful experience for the whole family!
