Restaurant JÄÄ in Keila – A Source of Pride and Culinary Excellence

Restaurant JÄÄ is located in Keila, at Jaama 8.
The hostess and founder of JÄÄ, Helina Saarniit, is a passionate food and wine lover who brings her creativity to every plate.
The entire menu is carefully curated down to the last detail and changes every 2 months.
So if you find a favorite dish today, prepare to discover a new one in just a couple of months👌.

The cuisine takes you on a journey from Latin America to Asia, offering global flavors with a unique twist.

And the service? Exceptionally warm, friendly, and attentive – like walking into someone’s home 😇.

During the FoodLover Restaurants Week (February 16–25), Restaurant JÄÄ offered a truly special menu — and I had the pleasure of trying it out.

3-course menu for €40:

  • Birria tacos (2 pcs)

  • Jiaozi (Chinese dumplings) with Sichuan sauce

  • Banoffee 2.0 – a modern twist on the classic dessert

For the drink, I chose a non-alcoholic Shirley Temple (€9) – refreshingly tangy and crisp.

On top of that, they serve house-made warm bread with mixed seeds, melted butter, and a touch of salt – pure perfection! I’d happily take a loaf of that home 😇.

The starter: Birria tacos.
The beef tacos are delightfully tangy, especially when generously splashed with lime juice 😋.
A subtle chili kick adds depth, making this a truly exciting flavor experience.
And they’re surprisingly filling too – there’s a generous amount of meat tucked between the two tacos!

The main course: Chinese pork dumplings (Jiaozi).
If you’re into seriously spicy food, you can go all in and eat every bit of the chopped chili 🌶🥲.
I had just two bites, and my lips and mouth were already tingling – so I set the rest aside.
The great thing is, you get to choose your heat level!
The flavors are rich and layered, with an exciting mix that really dances on your palate.

For dessert: the delightful Bannoffee 2.0.
A whole bowl of surprises and joy 🤩 – sweet meets salty in perfect harmony.
I won’t even spoil what all is hidden inside 😉 – it’s something you just have to experience for yourself.
This dessert truly needs to be felt with both body and soul – and yes, the mystery makes it even more exciting 😜.

You wouldn’t expect to find such a warm, experience-rich restaurant hidden in a charming historic building in the small town of Keila.
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and describe each dish with such detail, it feels like they’ve just prepared it themselves in the kitchen 😇.

Looking for something special? Just 30 minutes from Tallinn, the wonderful JÄÄ restaurant is waiting for you.

Don’t miss the chance to visit during the FoodLover Restaurants Week (February 16–25) and enjoy their special menu at a truly great price!
