Pika Jala Restaurant in Tallinn Old Town is located in Toompea, at Pikk jalg 16. As you step inside, you’re greeted by friendly staff and the warm glow of candlelight. The large, airy windows offer a peaceful view of the quiet Old Town street below.

Pike-perch fillet from Pärnu – roasted almond potatoes / oven-baked carrots / sparkling wine sauce
Lime cake with frozen raspberries
🍷 3-Course Dinner Menu – €29
Starter choices:
Octopus & shrimp ceviche – chili / lime
Beef carpaccio – arugula / toasted sesame seeds / parmesan shavings
Main course choices:
Grilled octopus – eggplant, potato, tomato & garlic mix / chimichurri sauce
Slow-cooked beef cheek – roasted almond potatoes / oven-baked carrots / truffle red wine sauce
Dessert:
Lime cake with frozen raspberries
I chose the octopus & shrimp ceviche as a starter.
The seafood was perfectly tender, served in a tangy-sweet citrus marinade – a fresh and flavorful beginning to the meal.
For the main course, I chose the slow-cooked beef cheek. Mmm… it was incredibly tender and full of flavor – I 100% recommend it! The roasted vegetables and the rich truffle red wine sauce made the dish even more satisfying.
For dessert, I had the lime cake. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the frozen raspberries helped to balance it out nicely. 🙂 Maybe the chef could add a touch more tartness for future guests – just a little zing on the plate! 😋
All in all, Pika Jala Restaurant in Tallinn Old Town is, for me, a place with a truly pleasant atmosphere, great background music, and reasonable prices.
It’s a lovely spot for lunch during the day and just as perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening.
