February 2026 – FoodLover TOP 20 Restaurants

The FoodLover Restaurants Week, held from February 11–22, 2026, once again turned into a true celebration of flavors 🤩.

Over the course of 12 days, a total of 9,900 guests visited 80 restaurantsnearly 10,000 diners in all. This impressive result confirms that Estonia’s restaurant culture is vibrant, evolving, and highly valued by its guests.

Visitors enjoyed specially created event menus, discovered new favorite spots, and shared a wealth of feedback. Every review was carefully read, and based on them, the FoodLover Restaurants Week TOP 20 ranking was created, highlighting the most outstanding culinary experiences of the season.

A big thank you also goes to the vabalaud.ee reservation platform, which made restaurant visits smooth and convenient for both local guests and visitors from across Estonia.

The next FoodLover Restaurants Week will take place on October 7–18, 2026, once again bringing special menus, seasonal flavors, and exclusive dining experiences to restaurants.

TOP 20 Most Popular Restaurants by Number of Visits 👇

1. A.JU Restaurant (Tartu mnt 82, Tallinn)

The most popular restaurant of the event — and a first-time participant — was A.JU. Based on guest feedback, the restaurant left a very strong and memorable impression. Guests especially appreciated the option to choose between two different menus, allowing groups the flexibility to order a variety of dishes.

The overall quality of the food was considered very high. Main courses received the most praise — particularly the flank steak and venison — as well as the dessert “My Wife’s Kiss,” which became a favorite for many. Guests also highlighted the visual presentation of the dishes, creative plating, and the restaurant’s distinctive atmosphere. Service was rated highly, described as both friendly and professional.

Areas for improvement mentioned by some guests included occasional longer waiting times, slight inconsistencies in flavor balance, and a few practical details (such as parking, finding the location, and the availability of tap water).

Overall, the experience was considered refined and memorable, with the vast majority of visitors leaving highly satisfied.

2. MEAT Resto & Butchery (Rannamõisa tee 38d, Tallinn)


Second place was awarded to MEAT Resto, which had claimed first place in the previous three campaigns. Once again, the restaurant’s food quality was rated highly, although feedback revealed more noticeable fluctuations in service this time.

The main courses received the most praise — especially the beef tenderloin steak and the Black Angus beef burger, both described as juicy, high-quality, and full of flavor. Guests also highlighted the king prawns, smoked beetroot tartare, and desserts, particularly the crème brûlée and chocolate fondant. Many visitors appreciated the atmosphere, cozy interior, and well-paired drink selection.

The main area for improvement mentioned was inconsistency in service. While some guests experienced very friendly and attentive hospitality, others described the service as somewhat distant or lacking professionalism.

Overall, the impression remained positive — the food was good and, in many cases, outstanding. However, several guests noted that more consistent service quality would help elevate the experience back to the level that previously earned the restaurant first place.

3. SPOT Restaurant (Vene tn 4, Tallinn)


Third place was awarded to SPOT Restaurant, which received an exceptionally high amount of positive feedback.

Service was praised the most — described as impeccable, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Several guests mentioned that the outstanding service alone would bring them back again.

When it came to the food, special recognition went to the beef tartare, smoked duck fillet, salmon fillet, tiger prawns, and the chocolate fondant, which was repeatedly described as absolutely delicious. Guests also appreciated the diverse menu selection and well-paired drink recommendations.

The atmosphere and ambiance were generally considered pleasant and cozy, although some visitors noted that the room occasionally felt a bit cool or that certain tables were located in less private spots. A few guests also mentioned slightly longer waiting times or smaller portion sizes.

Overall, the impression was very strong — the food, service, and overall experience were rated excellent, and many guests described SPOT as their favorite restaurant or noted that they had already visited multiple times.

4. Tasca Portuguesa (Kullassepa 13, Tallinn)


Fourth place was awarded to Tasca Portuguesa, maintaining the same position as in the previous campaign. Based on guest feedback, the restaurant left a very warm and positive impression.

Guests especially praised the friendly and professional service, inviting atmosphere, and generous portion sizes. Among the standout dishes were the octopus appetizer, Madeira steak, the cod specialty Bacalhau à Brás, crispy pork belly, and the frequently mentioned pistachio fondant, which many described as the highlight of the evening. Visitors also appreciated the excellent price-to-quality ratio of the wines and the knowledgeable drink recommendations.

Areas for improvement included occasional longer pauses between courses, an inconsistent steak doneness level, and a few minor flavor balance issues (such as a slightly dry salad or side dish proportions). Some guests also noted that the room could feel a bit cool or mentioned small comfort-related details.

Overall, the impression remained very strong — the food was flavorful and authentic, the service pleasant, and for many guests, the restaurant delivered a truly memorable dining experience.

5. O2 restoran (Maakri tn 23a, Tallinn)

Fifth place was awarded to O2 Restaurant, which ranked third in the previous campaign. Once again, the overall impression was very strong, with service receiving particularly high praise.

Guests repeatedly highlighted the exceptionally friendly and attentive hospitality — from opening the door upon arrival to noticing the smallest details at the table. Several visitors described it as one of the best service experiences they have ever had. The atmosphere was characterized as cozy, romantic, and refined.

In terms of food, the lamb dish, Atlantic salmon appetizer, and well-balanced desserts (white chocolate cake and chocolate mousse) were especially appreciated. The cocktails and thoughtfully composed menus also received praise. Some guests mentioned that waiting times could occasionally be longer than expected, portions slightly smaller, or flavors at times too intense. A few minor organizational details, such as the cloakroom solution, were also noted.

Overall, however, the impression remained very positive — O2 stood out for its high-quality ingredients, well-crafted flavors, and especially professional service that made guests feel truly welcomed and well cared for.

6. Mix Resto (Vana-Posti 11/13, Tallinn)


Mix Resto has been a consistently strong performer throughout all campaigns. Based on guest feedback, visitors were largely very satisfied with both the food and the service.

Particular praise was given to the thoughtfully composed menu and bold flavor combinations. Standout dishes included the tuna wakame salad, kangaroo tartare, and the sous vide 57°C beef tenderloin. Many guests also remembered the excellent bread selection with butter and the well-curated wine list. Service was described as warm, friendly, and professional, with several visitors emphasizing that the overall experience was truly excellent.

Areas for improvement mainly concerned the dessert — the tiramisu was described by several guests as too “watery” or overly soaked. A few minor details were also mentioned, such as a slightly noisy environment, floor cleaning during the visit, or the need for clearer explanations of certain dishes.

Overall, however, the impression remained very positive — the flavors were exciting and high-quality, and the service left guests with a warm and pleasant feeling.

7. Art Priori (Olevimägi 7, Tallinn) 


Art Priori stood out for its elegant atmosphere and high-level service.

Guests especially praised the restaurant’s beautiful interior design and refined, professional hospitality. Among the dishes, the tuna appetizer and the beef cheek main course received the most recognition. The pear tart dessert was also highly complimented — some guests even described it as absolutely superb ☺️. Overall, the menu was considered consistently strong and full of well-balanced flavors.

A few minor remarks concerned the pace at the beginning of the service or the texture and presentation style of the beef cheek. Some guests also mentioned that they would have preferred water to be served in a carafe.

Overall, the impression was very positive — Art Priori delivered a flavor-rich dining experience, an elegant ambiance, and polished service that left guests with a refined and memorable impression.

8. Kalaranna Resto (Kalaranna 8/1, Tallinn)


Kalaranna Resto received predominantly very positive feedback.

Guests especially praised the delicious seafood dishes — mussels, grilled sea bass, and also the duck breast fillet. The chocolate fondant earned plenty of compliments as well. Service was described as friendly, efficient, and pleasant, while the overall atmosphere was considered cozy and enjoyable. Many visitors were very satisfied with all three courses.

Areas for improvement mainly involved a few technical details — in some cases, a main course arrived slightly cool, the fish could be a bit dry, or the fondant did not always have the desired texture. Minor comfort-related remarks were also mentioned, such as limited privacy at certain tables or small details in the restroom.

Overall, however, the impression remained positive — Kalaranna Resto offered flavorful food, welcoming service, and a calm seaside atmosphere that left many guests with a pleasant dining experience.

9. Mantel ja Korsten (J. Poska 19a, Tallinn)


Mantel ja Korsten received abundant praise for both its well-composed menu and professional service.

Guests particularly appreciated the thoughtfully curated tasting menu and excellent wine pairings — the sommelier’s work was repeatedly recognized and commended. The main course, beef Petit Tender, was a favorite for many. The truffle and smoked duck arancini starter was frequently highlighted, as was the apple Tarte Tatin dessert.

The overall atmosphere was described as calm, cozy, and private, while the service was characterized as attentive and highly professional.

As for areas of improvement, a few nuances were mentioned — in some cases, the meat was slightly overcooked or the sauce too salty. The separately served bread course also sparked some discussion. A few guests suggested that drinks could have been offered more proactively or that the bread could have been served simultaneously with the starter.

Overall, however, the impression remained very strong — Mantel ja Korsten delivered balanced flavor combinations, an excellent wine list, and high-level service, creating a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for its guests.

10. Argentiina Fahle (Tartu mnt 80, Tallinn)


Argentiina Fahle Restaurant received abundant praise, particularly for the quality of its meat and the strong overall impression it left on guests.

The perfectly prepared beef entrecôte stood out the most — it was repeatedly complimented, and many guests named it the highlight of their evening. The fried calamari starter and the baked white chocolate dessert were also described as delicious. Visitors further appreciated the friendly and accommodating service, such as adapting the special menu for lactose intolerance or offering a larger table suitable for families with children.

Areas for improvement mainly concerned certain service details — at times, guests had to wait to be shown to their table or for drinks to arrive, and feedback was not always handled as expected. Some visitors also wished for more side dishes to accompany the steak and more precise adherence to the requested doneness level. A few mentioned that the room felt cool or that table privacy could be improved.

Overall, however, the impression remained very positive — Argentiina Fahle stood out for its high-quality meat, strong kitchen standards, and pleasant atmosphere. Several guests even described it as one of their favorites during the campaign.
