Mere Resto in Tallinn City Centre – All-in-One Dining Experience
Mere Resto is located on the edge of the Rotermann Quarter at Mere puiestee 4, Tallinn.
The entrance is through the inner courtyard, via the glass terrace.
This unique and exotic restaurant offers something for every moment – from a quick weekday lunch to a romantic dinner. You can even try a shisha pipe if you wish, or dance the night away on weekends with a live DJ.
The lush green interior with golden accents creates a luxurious and inviting atmosphere.
In short: Mere Resto is an all-in-one restaurant experience in the heart of Tallinn! 👌

In the back room, a full-length fireplace stretches across the wall, creating a warm and striking atmosphere.

I went to try what Mere Resto is offering during the FoodLover Restaurants Week from February 16–25. I chose the fish menu, which immediately caught my eye.
Fish Menu – 35 €:
Salmon Tataki – spicy salmon tataki / mango sauce / smoked tofu / trout roe / seaweed salad
Grilled Catfish Fillet – grilled catfish / celery-cauliflower-apple cream / vegetables / white wine sauce
Cake “The Son of Man” by René Magritte – hazelnut dacquoise, vanilla foam, soft caramel apple confit with cinnamon and lemon
STARTER – Salmon Tataki:
Incredibly fresh and tender salmon paired with a mildly spicy mango sauce – a delicious start to the meal.
Each bite leaves a gentle tingle on the tongue. The salmon is seared on the outside, offering a natural flavor with a subtle smokiness.
Seaweed has never been my absolute favorite, but I gave it a go – and I must say, it was perfectly fresh, just as it should be.

MAIN – Grilled Catfish Fillet:
Mmm… that silky celery-cauliflower-apple cream was simply divine.
The smoked vegetables added a rustic touch – the whole dish looked like a piece of art! 🤩
The fish itself was flavorful, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth soft – almost velvet-like in texture. 😋
The portions are generous, served on large plates – you definitely won’t leave hungry. 👌

DESSERT – The famous “man with a hat” plate:
A true edible painting on a plate – inspired by René Magritte.
Silky vanilla foam with a center of cinnamon-apple-hazelnut crumble.
Not overly sweet, so it should suit most palates. I have a feeling it’s quite rich though 😉.
