Passionate Chefs in a New Spot – Restoran Võru in Tallinn
Restoran Võru in Tallinn (Pirita tee 20/1, Tallinn) opened its doors just over two months ago. This charming two-storey house along Pirita Road invites you to explore and enjoy delightful flavors.
Located by the seaside edge of the Song Festival Grounds, just a short walk toward Pirita, the restaurant sits right by the road.
Convenient parking is available on-site, and in warm weather, you can enjoy sea views from the outdoor terrace.

From the restaurant’s windows, you can admire arriving and departing ships and truly feel the closeness of the sea. Romantic background music sets the mood, adding to the cozy yet elegant atmosphere.
The interior design is dominantly patterned white, leaving an impression of clean lines and regal charm – a setting that’s both uplifting and serene.

During FoodLover Restaurants Week, from May 20th to 29th, Restoran Võru Tallinnas offers two special menus at prices lower than usual.
Classic Menu – €25
🍅 Tomato and lemongrass soup with prawns
🍗 Crispy chicken with vegetables and mushroom sauce
🍰 Passionfruit and mango cake
Gourmet Menu – €27
🦐 Grilled tiger prawns with tomato-chili salsa
🥟 Duck ravioli in orange sauce with truffle cheese
🍰 Rum cake with Madagascan vanilla ice cream and strawberries
For my starter, I chose the tomato and lemongrass soup with prawns. The name might not say much at first, but the flavor combination is something truly unique and satisfying. A delicious blend of spicy and sweet – absolutely delightful!
You wouldn’t guess from the photo just how good this soup tastes. And since taste is hard to convey in words, I highly recommend trying it yourself. 😋 I loved it!
On the side, they served oven-warm baguette with a crispy crust and soft interior, perfect for dipping into olive oil – an ideal match with the soup!

For my main course, I chose the crispy chicken with vegetables and mushroom sauce. Honestly, words don’t do it justice! At first, I imagined something like a typical fast-food-style chicken, but this dish exceeded all expectations.
The chicken is perfectly juicy inside with a crispy, flavorful coating that makes every bite special. The mushroom sauce is rich, creamy, and deeply savory, pairing beautifully with the fresh vegetables on the side.
It’s a wonderful example of how simple ingredients, when prepared with heart and skill, can turn into a gourmet-level meal.

I tried a dessert that wasn’t part of the campaign menu – a chocolate cheesecake (€6 per slice).
Velvety, creamy, and filled with generous chunks of hazelnut and cherry, this dessert was a delightful and indulgent treat. A perfect harmony of rich flavors!

You can really feel that the chefs put their heart and soul into each dish, carefully crafting flavors that are both unique and memorable! The restaurant’s sommelier, Aron Rahu, offers excellent drink pairings for every course.
It’s hard to put the whole experience into words – this place is something you simply have to visit to truly understand its charm! I wholeheartedly recommend it – you won’t be disappointed, and you definitely won’t leave hungry! 👌 #notsponsored
Since I was so impressed with the food, I couldn’t resist taking one more chocolate cake and three rhubarb cakes home with me! 😋
