Bruxx New Belgian in Rotermann – Seafood, Beef Cheek and Crème Brûlée
Bruxx – New Belgian is located in Rotermann Quarter at Rotermanni 2. It is a distinctive restaurant that immediately catches the eye with its darker wooden interior and large open kitchen.
The restaurant is spread across two floors, so there is plenty of space and an open, airy feel. The overall atmosphere is modern yet cosy, with just the right touch of Rotermann’s industrial character 🙂
Bruxx New Belgian Menu
The regular menu includes a variety of tartares, seafood, burgers, duck, rabbit, and other seasonal dishes.
Bruxx is taking part in the FoodLover campaign for the second time. During the previous campaign, it ranked among the TOP 5 restaurants with visitors, so expectations were pretty high this time.
And honestly, looking at the menus, there was plenty to get excited about 🙂

Fritto Seafood in Spicy Honey Sauce
I started with a dish that already sounded irresistible from the name alone: fritto seafood in spicy honey sauce.
The different seafood pieces were deep-fried and coated in a chilli-honey glaze. The sweet and spicy combination worked really well, while the seafood itself stayed flavourful and satisfying.
This is definitely one of those starters I would come back to Bruxx for.
Beef Cheek with Oyster Mushrooms and Braised Vegetables
Another dish I often look for on restaurant menus is beef cheek.
At Bruxx, it was cooked until incredibly tender and juicy. The meat practically fell apart, and the whole dish was rich and filling.
There was a bit too much mashed potato for my taste, but one thing is certain: you definitely will not leave hungry 🙂

Crème Brûlée with Fresh Berries
And finally, a real little gem.
The crème brûlée had a beautifully crisp caramelised sugar top and an especially silky texture underneath. The fresh berries tasted like they had just been picked.
This was easily my favourite dish from the entire menu.
If you love a classic crème brûlée, this one is definitely worth trying.
