A Taste Experience at Hoov Number 6 Restaurant in Tallinn

A new restaurant, Hoov Number 6, has opened its doors at Telliskivi 2 in Tallinn.
It’s worth noting that this very building once housed the beloved restaurant Kolm Sibulat, a favorite among many locals.

Now, a fresh team of chefs invites guests to discover exciting new flavors at Hoov Number 6.
The restaurant’s menu has been crafted by Daanius Aas, a rising culinary star and recipient of the Michelin Young Chef Award.

During FoodLover Restaurants Week from February 16–25, Hoov Number 6 offers guests the chance to enjoy two exciting tasting menus:

3-course menu – €35
• Chicken liver pâté – chicken liver / red onion / sourdough
• Pike-perch – fennel / miso
• Sea buckthorn – white chocolate / cream cheese

Vegetarian menu – €32
• Chickpea – hummus / dill / pita
• King oyster mushroom – cranberry sauce / shiso / nut crumble
• Chocolate – brownie / pumpkin cream / marzipan

This time, I wanted to try their vegetarian menu.

For the starter, I had the chickpea dish – smooth and creamy with a pure, natural flavor. The touch of dill oil gave it a light and springlike feel, almost like wild garlic season had begun.
Served with warm and slightly crispy pita, it was truly tasty. Honestly, the portion is so satisfying, you could feel full already after the starter!

For the main course, the king oyster mushroom was served – mmm, perfectly crispy and full of flavor.
Each bite brought a swirl of different tastes dancing on the palate. Vegetarian food lovers would definitely appreciate this kind of creative combination on a plate.
The shiso leaf added a deep, almost ancient forest-like note to every bite – such a unique and layered flavor.
It’s truly amazing how chefs in Estonia can craft such diverse and artistic dishes!

For dessert, they served a chocolate brownie – once again, beautifully presented with exciting textures and flavors.
A tangy raspberry crumble on top, covered with a layer of marzipan, and rich chocolate paired with smooth pumpkin cream – a truly creative and delightful combination.

If you’re looking to explore bold and exciting new flavors on your plate – not just to fill your stomach, but to truly enjoy and discover – then the chefs and team at Hoov Number 6 will absolutely deliver!

Don’t miss your chance to experience one of their special menus at a more affordable price during FoodLover Restaurants Week, running until February 25.
